One day in 2013 my life forever changed when I saw the TV series "Push Girls". That was my first encounter with Chelsie Hill. I then followed her and the Rollettes for years, attended the virtual Rollettes Experience, and FINALLY went in person in 2021. Little did I know that this event would not only change the way I navigated the world as a disabled woman, but it would also introduce me to my dearest friends. My "IzMaGadDie" which is a term coined by mashing our names together in a group chat. Izzy, Marisa, Gabby, and Addie. These women have become a sense of joy, support, endless laughter, and a lifeline when things get tough. We even support each other by traveling and attending life events. We are LITERALLY thousands of miles apart from each other, stretching from California, Ohio, New Jersey, and Connecticut, but when that phone rings, we are right back on that ballroom floor in LA dancing the night away. As if we never left. THIS is why community is SO important, and this is my WHY. These girls, this event, and the endless memories created. It wouldn’t be possible without you!
